Kahikatea

Evergreen NZ white pine. Narrowly conical for many years. Will tolerate very wet sites and will grow in drier sites with good grass control. Tolerates shade but does best with blue sky above. Long lived and fast growing, it fruits prolifically for native birds. Shade the trunk with shrubs to prevent sun scorch.
